Kelli Shermeyer is the Edgar F. Shannon Postdoctoral Fellow and a theater director, producer, and dramaturg. Her scholarly and artistic interests include representations of violence; politically committed and ecologically conscious theater; site-specific performance; living history; and speculative fiction. Her current research project explores the intersection of posthuman theory and contemporary tragic drama by considering plays that feature children, animals, natural forces, and machines. She teaches courses on modern and contemporary literature, global drama, and speculative fiction.
